Marble backsplashes in the kitchen and bathroom. Kitchen cabinets are made from wood, not MDF. The drawers feature dovetail joints. All walls, including interior walls, are insulated.
Appliances, including laundry
Stainless steel appliances in kitchen by GE: Fridge, Stove, Dishwasher, and Microwave. The suite also has its own stacking washer/dryer.

Bright and Sunny
The house is on the south side of the Summit Park hill.
The suite has its own entrance, right at the front of the house, with no stairs.
The suite is legal, and meets or exceeds local building codes. All construction has been permitted, inspected, and approved by the City of Victoria.
Bedrooms have ample closets, the bathroom has a linen tower cabinet, and there is a large, finished storage area near the kitchen.
Insulated for Sound
Every effort was made to maximize sound insulation between the suite and other areas of the house, using resilient bars to mount 2 layers of drywall to the ceiling, with noise proofing compound between them.
The suite is on its own electrical panel and will have a separate account with BC Hydro.
Downtown is walkable within 25-30 minutes, Bike able within 10-15 minutes, and is close to stops for the #4, #6, and #25 busses. Easy to get to UVic or the Camosun Lansdowne Campus.
Utilities are not included. The suite is heated with electric baseboard and fan forced heating. The suite is in a family home with owners living above with small children. Pets or smoking on the property are not allowed. No drugs. No late or loud parties – but small gatherings are okay. Suitable for 2 mature adults.
